Water at the corner of the roof
At the corner of a pitched roof, a hip, gutter joint and downpipe may all be close together. For a Killingbeck enquiry, describe whether the water appears inside the loft, on an external wall or under the soffit. Those observations help identify which details need a closer inspection.
Finding the cause
The gutter outlet, supports and roof edge should be checked alongside the hip and its fixings. If fascia boards are deteriorated, establish whether the timber behind them remains sound before agreeing a cosmetic cover or new gutter attachment.
Planning your roofing work
Mention attached garages, side extensions and any boundary limiting access to the corner. The quote should identify the elevation and equipment needed to reach it safely.
What belongs in your quote
A clear quote sets out the materials, access and waste removal, as well as the repair itself. It should also explain what happens if opening the roof reveals further damage, so you know how any extra work will be agreed.
Use the roofing quotation checklist or understand the main cost factors.
